Service Description: Provides parent trainings, resources, information, and support to parents and caregivers on issues related to special education. Educational services are centered on helping families to be their child's number one fan and advocate, helping them to participate fully on their child's Individual Education Program (IEP) team, and successfully creating an education plan that provides their child with a free appropriate public education. Service Description:
EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM-WILLAMETTE EDUCATION SERVICE DISTRICT Provides Early Intervention (EI) and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services to children from birth to school age who have developmental delays or disabilities, including speech and language, motor, behavioral, socialization, learning, vision and hearing. Conducts developmental screenings, assessments,! evaluations, and provides individual family service plan to address child's developmental needs. Services are designed to support learning and development, and include the parents as important partners in the education process.
Eligibility:
To access the services, a child must have a developmental delay or sensory impairment that meets the state eligibility guidelines related to speech and language, motor, socialization, behavior, learning, vision and/or hearing. Children must live in Marion, Polk or Yamhill Counties, and be birth through age 5.
Intake Procedure:
Call to refer or for information. Please call the specific number associated with either referrals or information.
Service Hours:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; program hours varies.
